The children have a busy term ahead of them. For the first few weeks we will be learning about Scotland, along with the rest of the school. Scottish Week is celebrated in Bervie School every year, during the week of Rabbie Burns’ birthday. We will take part in some food tasting and will make some “skirlie”. The children will learn a Scottish poem and also a country dance, which will be performed at our whole school Ceilidh at the end of the week. Following this, P1 will be working with their peers and Mrs Lawson and Mrs Mitchell on their Granny’s Attic topic. This will teach the children how some aspects of life have changed over the years. P2 will be working with their peers in Mrs Lawlor’s class on a Design and Technology topic called Our Street.
